A Arabica. Coffee or Coffea belongs to the botanical family Rubicae, which consist of 600 species. The coffee that is mainly grown belongs to either the Arabica or the Canephora specie. The description normally used is Arabica or Robusta. Arabica stands for about 75% of the worlds coffee production.

B         Barista is the name of the person that is preparing the coffee drinks. A barista can tell you about the different coffee types on the menu and he or she should know the difference between a bad imitation and a properly prepared coffee.
 
C         Cupping is the description for tasting lots of coffee cups which are lined up. Every coffee producer has a laboratory where their experts, coffee tasters, choose the right coffee. Coffee tasting require a lot of training and experience, along with a good sense of smell and taste.
 
E          European Coffee Brewing Centre (ECBC) is the world’s oldest and only independent coffee laboratory. ECBC has strongly contributed to the high quality of coffee in Norway. In this laboratory coffee makers and machines are quality controlled.
 
F          Fair Trade means that the product is handled specially with thought of solidarity with the producer in the origin country.

P          Pressure can – you can use either filter grinded or boiling grinded or boath! Boiling water is poured in the can of coffee, which is to be drawn for 5 minutes before the stamp is pushed down.
 
R         Ristretto – a “short” espresso made with the same amount of coffee as an espresso, but with half the fluid.
 
S          Supremo – the largest coffee beans
 
T          Tamper – when you prepare an espresso, you should “pack” the coffee evenly in the filter holder/bayonet. For this job many prefer to use an own tamper that is attached to the grinder.
