El Kantaoui

Most charter planes land in the city Monastir 165km south of Tunis. The golf courses in Tunis are open all year round and the distances between the eight courses are small and you will always find a course near the tourist centres. El Kantaoui is one of the tourist centres, located 15km north of the airport only a couple of kilometres north of the city Sousse, the third largest city in Tunis. El Kantaoui was developed in the 90's and is nicely located on the coast with an agreeable marina and a social market where people gather to listen to classical music in the evening's.

Golf with a view

The El Kantaoui Golfclub has two quite spectacular 18 hole courses and a nice club house with a sunny terrace and a good kitchen with a diverce menu. The Panorama Course at El Kantaoui Golf Club is not an especially hard course, neither is the Sea Course. But they are beautiful and challenging courses, located next to the sea.

Hammamet

The other good golf centre in Tunis is Hammamet, half an hour drive north of Sousse. This is a ice little city which centres around a roundabout. Here are all the good restaurants and caffés lined up, many with a sea view. The old city is smaller and more intimate than the other larger cities.

Right outside Hammamet lies Citrus Golf, a real golf camp with two 18 hole courses, a driving range with 140 rooms, five putting greens and five pitching areas. The centre is cooperating with a line of hotels in the area and liquidate 55.000 games a year on the two courses Oliviers and Forest. They manage to keep their prices down to about Nok 300,- They also offer courses that everyone can mannage and enjoy. The courses are different, and most will experience Forest a little more demanding the Oliviers. But both courses are challenging and easy to walk
