San Eliseo Golf and Country Club is an ongoing project, a golf and dwelling project that is established half an hour drive south of Buenos Aires. the course is as good as finished. It opened a couple of years ago and is ever decorated by new bunkers, planting, etc. It has become a very nice golf course that can remind you of the well known Pampas’. The wind along the fairways is a daily challenge on this course.

120 year old club house

Originally San Elisio was a large farm, the club house is the earlier farmhouse, and is about 120years old. When you get through the entrance you swing up in front of this beautiful, small club house which looks like a mini castle. To the left of the club house lies a swimming pool, this is a country club where the members and green fee players enjoy their weekends, and to the right is the pro-shop. Inside the club house, which is small, but charming, you go through a small hall and straight in to the restaurant, which is known as one of the best in Buenos Aires. To the right is a small bar and to the left a nice saloon with seating groups and a fire place. From the restaurant you can go straight out on a nice terrace with a view of the 18. green by a small pond surrounded by some impressive old trees.

This is a really hard course. You have to administrate your game, and play the course with your head, or it will break you. Stay on the fairway! With that being said, this course has some of the world’s best greens, and is a dream to play!

The course is in great condition, there are 13 people in the staff that make sure that the course is in perfect condition and that the green stays among the best in the country. San Eliseo was the only course around Buenos Aires that could keep open during the entire wet period.

Along the course they are building about 500 dwellings, 80 are already reserved, and to qualify for a membership you have to own one of the houses. And if you buy a house you automatically get a membership. To day there are 175 members. Friend need to pay about 200Nok for a green fee including lunch.
After a while it will be a pure membership club with acceptance for guests. And then the course will be perfect. It will also be built a road for the golf cars, and a hotel with 100 rooms.
