Great Travel - travel, golf, adventure, dining

• Be on time! Especially if you’re travelling with your family it is smart to be a bit early. Remember that the check in deadline is when you are supposed to have your boarding pass in your hand- not when you’re supposed to be at the airport. If you’re travelling early in the mourning, you might want to spend the night at the airport hotel so there’s no travel way to the airport.
• Remember to label your luggage in advance, so you don’t have to do this in the last minute. You should have your name and number both inside and outside the luggage.

• Use the check in machines; they are very easy to operate. The machines can be used both when you’re travelling with an electronic- and paper- ticket. Put your card/ticket in the machine, and the check in begins. You will be guided through the whole process that works by pressing the screen directly. More often than not you will be able to choose your seat, if this is not done when you booked your flight. The machines can also be used when you travel with luggage. In that case you deliver your luggage in the assigned counter. Some airlines also offer a internet check in, but if you have luggage you still need to print the baggage tags when you get to the airport.
• If you choose to stand in the queue, have your tickets and passport ready when you get to the counter. Also remember to show your frequent flyer cart to get your miles. If you are at the risk of missing your flight, contact the airport personnel and explain the situation, and you will be assisted through a faster check in.
• If you are two people travelling together – here’s a tip: Order the aisle and window seat on board, and hope that the middle seat is not taken. If someone has this seat it’s easy to switch the aisle or window seat for the middle one!
