To this appetizing summer course I would recommend a fruity and elegant white wine that doesn’t have to be expensive, but that is refreshing and easy to drink!

A perfect course for a fresh and fruity rosé wine. In south France they know that rosé wine with fried fish with flavour full accessories is a perfect combination.
The reason why rosé wine fits so perfectly is the combination of freshness and the spicy flavour that is there because the skin has been on fore a few hours in the ferment process. This has given the delicate pink colour and contributes to the refreshing spicy after taste.

The sun is shining from the blue sky, it is nice and warm and we need to cool down with a cold drink. Håvard Alstad and Espen Østrem at Amplifier Rock Bar in Oslo has mixed a selection of cool flavour summer drinks. Enjoy the summer heat!

Zantho Eiswin Gruner Veltliner is a great wine compliment Crème Brûlée. It has less alcohol than Tokay and far more sugar. But it balances great with the sweet desert. It has a good fullness and concentration, and an aftertaste of peach and apricot.

A couple of hours drive south of Porto in Portugal is Dao Sul, one of Portugal’s wine areas. And in the pine forest just outside the little village Carregal do Sal lies the wine yard Quinta de Cabriz, owned by Carlos Lucas, built over the last 15 years and very impressing after such short time.

Right in between Torino and Savona on the Mediterranean coast lies the wine yard Marchesi di Barolo – with the world known wine yards and some of the world’s best wines. The name Barolo sounds like music to wine knower’s all over the world.

To a course as delicate as delicate as king crab its best with finesse full wines with discreet or no oak flavour. Wines like this you can often find in the cooler wine countries like the north of France, the north of Italy, Austria or Germany.

The Douro valley is ones of the most beautiful in the world. The small town Pinhão is the heart of the port district. There are 2000people living in Pinhão, most of them are involved in the port industry. The Douro valley is about 120km long and 40wide with Pinhão as the heart. Not a large area, but what great ports are being made in this valley. The relations here are perfect for growing grapes.
